Wind Mitigation Surveyors, LLC

Wind Mitigation Surveyors, LLC was formed by William “Bill” Hatchett, ACI. He is the first Wind Mitigation Surveyor registered in Louisiana and was involved in the early development of the Wind Mitigation Insurance Credit / Discount program. He has an extensive background in home and commercial inspections dating to 1992. In 1999 Governor Foster appointed him as one of seven charter board members from around the state to the new Louisiana State Board of Home Inspectors (LSBHI). Mr. Hatchett was instrumental in the formation of the LSBHI board, its Rules and By-Laws, Standard of Practice and Code of Ethics. He served the original LSBHI Board as Chairman and Vice-Chairman. He is a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and has served as an officer and board member of the Louisiana Chapter of ASHI. Mr. Hatchett holds active licenses as a Louisiana Licensed Home Inspector (LHI# 10004), a registered Wind Mitigation Surveyor (LSUCCC#U00530) and has obtained the professional designation of ACI.

Mr. Hatchett has been a speaker and presenter at ASHI National Conventions and is a frequent trainer at LA ASHI Continuing Education Seminars. He has been a speaker and presenter at International Hurricane Protection Association Conferences.
